Gergo Zalanki returns to Hungarian national team

Hungary’s head coach Zsolt Varga has called up 24 players to the preparations for the World Cup Final Eight that will be held in Sydney in July.

For the first time after the Paris Olympics, left-handed Gergo Zalanki is among the picked players. There was uncertainty about his status in the national team, but a few months ago, before the World Cup Division 1, Varga announced Zalanki would be among the invited players for this summer’s competitions.

Compared to the European Championships in Belgrade, Daniel Angyal, Marton Vamos and Benedek Batizi aren’t among the invited players.
