To say that the first three weeks of the 2026 NFL season have been a disappointment for the Green Bay Packers would be a serious understatement. All throughout the offseason and training camp, Packers executives, coaches, and players said that this team was going to compete for a Super Bowl this season. They were ready to put the issues that caused them an early exit in 2025 behind them, had fixed the problems on the roster, and were ready to return to the top of the NFC North.
Unfortunately for them and their fans, they could not have been more wrong.

Currently 1-2, the Packers offense looks as disconnected as it has at any point in recent memory. Indeed, looking ahead, it is hard to see how Jordan Love and the rest of the unit will be able to fix the glaring issues that they have.

To be clear, Love is not the issue with Green Bay‘s offense. As of this writing, he leads the NFL in pass attempts and completions (65/124), passing yards (844), and touchdowns (six). However, he has absolutely no time to get settled in the pocket. That is because the Packers offensive line is far worse than anyone could have imagined.

After their embarrassing 35-14 loss at home to the Atlanta Falcons, Love has been hit by opposing defenders 20 times already through three games. He is on pace for being hit 113 times if things do not improve:
As one can see, the most Love has ever been hit in a single year is 49, which happened in 2024 and 2025.
Needless to say, the Packers have to find ways to improve the play of their offensive line if they are to have any hope of salvaging the season. They are 1-2 and there are still 14 games left to play. However, if they are going to keep allowing opposing defenses into the backfield in less than 2.5 seconds, Love is going to have a very long and painful season.
