The Green Bay Packers are dealing with injuries left and right. Between waiting to get defensive end Micah Parsons back, starting left guard Aaron Banks being inactive for the season opener with a knee injury and then suffering a toe injury against the New York Jets when he was back, it’s been a rough start.

It doesn’t end there, either. The Packers just took another big hit when it comes to their starting offensive line. You may want to close your eyes if you’re a Green Bay fan.
Packers lose another key offensive lineman for the season
On Tuesday, ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky shared the bad news that the team has lost right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele for the remainder of the season.
“He said today that he sustained a complete tear of his patellar tendon on Sunday,” Demovsky said. “It’s same one he partially tore last year. He’s facing another surgery and long rehab. When healthy, he has been their best O-lineman.”

Matt Schneidman of The Athletic confirmed the news. “Zach Bako-Bewele said he fully tore his patellar tendon,” he stated in a post on X. “He’s getting surgery on Thursday and faces a nine-month recovery. Same knee as the one he partially tore the patellar tendon in last December. Didn’t blame it on coming back too soon. Did say turf didn’t help.”
So, yes, to lose the team’s “best O-lineman” is a brutal loss. There are more, too, with Donovan Jennings also being out with a hand injury sustained in Sunday’s game. The list goes on and on. So, this team will have to regroup and figure out a strategy with so many injuries happening early in the season.
