Haunting 911 call from AEW star Pac’s death: ‘Not responsive at all’

The woman who called 911 to get help for AEW star Benjamin Satterley, known in the wrestling world as Pac, told a dispatcher he was “not responsive at all” while inside of his vehicle in a CAVA parking lot, new police audio obtained by the California Post revealed.

The call was placed on Sept. 27 at around 3:53 p.m., just 15 minutes before Satterley was formally pronounced deceased by officials in Des Plaines, Ill.

“I’m at the CAVA on Mannheim Road in Des Plaines and I was getting in my car and the person next to me is passed out in their car,” the woman said, according to the audio. “I don’t know. She doesn’t look too well and her car is running.”

The woman initially thought Satterley, who had long hair, was a female, though later in the call, she said, “It’s a man, I’m sorry.”

The 911 caller stated that she and others had been trying to wake up Satterley, but the wrestler was showing no signs of consciousness.

“We’ve been banging on the window for I want to say, like, five minutes now,” she said, before adding that Satterley’s “face is, like, straight down. Apparently their eyes are open, too.”

The woman then told dispatch she was sure Satterley was not breathing.

“I don’t see his chest moving at all,” she said.

First responders arrived at the scene minutes later and while life-saving measures were performed, Satterley was pronounced dead at 4:08 p.m., according to a Des Plaines Police Department incident report.

Satterley’s body did not have any injuries “or suspicious marking on him besides what appeared to be saliva on the front of his shirt,” the incident report stated.

His phone, meanwhile, had Google Maps open and a route to O’Hare Airport was on display, according to the incident report.

One officer wrote in the police document that they were able to make contact with a woman who knew Satterley through his phone, and she told them she “last spoke to Benjamin on the phone around 1320 hours and he related he was going to Cava for lunch.”

“He had been traveling for his occupation as a professional wrestler for the past three weeks around the United States and had been in the Chicago-area since Thursday (09/24/2026) or Friday (09/25/2026),” the woman further explained, according to the incident report. “She related his flight had been delayed and Benjamin was scheduled on his flight back to the UK at approximately 1530 hours.”

The incident report noted that medication was found in Satterley’s car, though the type was redacted.

A cause of death is pending “additional testing” following an initial autopsy, a Cook County Medical Examiner’s office spokesperson said in a statement to The Post last week.

Satterley had wrestled against Andrade in an AEW event at the NOW Arena in Chicago the night before his death.

He was 40 years old.
