Hyderabad: Madhapur police arrested 27-year-old driver Veera Venkata Santosh Doorga for allegedly stalking, harassing and intimidating a woman. He was in a relationship with the victim since 2022. Though she changed her mind and ended the relationship, citing his suspicious and controlling behaviour, he continued following her and threatened to circulate their personal photographs among her family members, relatives and friends, police said.
The victim approached the Gachibowli She Teams, who counselled both of them. The accused gave a written undertaking not to disturb her but he continued contacting her from different mobile numbers, tracking her hostel addresses and visiting her home and workplace.
The victim lodged another complaint In August 2025, at the Madhapur police station, leading to the registration of a case. Despite counselling, warnings and notices, the alleged harassment continued. The accused on Tuesday called her while she was leaving work and shouted at her to come outside. The next day, he again visited her workplace in Hitec City and photographed her. Following her complaint seeking protection, police registered another case. The accused was arrested on Thursday and produced before the court for further proceedings.
