Hyderabad: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday said the state government would issue orders within a week to address long-pending Section 22A land and registration issues, facilitating an early resolution to problems affecting several colonies in Hyderabad and neighboring districts.
He said the government had issued GO 118 for regularization of houses in certain colonies and GO 76 for regularisation of house sites in the Singareni areas, out of the 12 land-related issues identified by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Srinivas Reddy said the government was working on the remaining issues in phases and that the Chief Minister would soon announce further measures.
He was speaking at a programme at the Saroornagar Indoor Stadium where he distributed regularisation certificates to beneficiaries from 44 colonies in the LB Nagar Assembly constituency.
He said the government had resolved the issues concerning 44 of the 64 colonies in the constituency and assured residents that their houses would not be demolished.
The remaining cases would be addressed within a month, he said.
GO 118 would also help resolve similar issues in parts of Medchal and Rangareddy districts within a month.
He said many of the colonies had remained under the Section 22A prohibited list for a long time and reiterated that the government would soon announce a solution.
Srinivas Reddy said the proposed orders would cover registration-related problems and cases involving people who had not submitted applications for regularization.
Section 22A had been in force since the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh and needed to be reviewed, he said.
On the Singareni region, he said GO 76 on regularization of house sites would be implemented and a three-member committee had been constituted.
The process would be completed within 45 days, he said.
