I Am Not Scared – Sooraj Pancholi Breaks Silence After CBI FIR in Disha Salian Case

Sooraj Pancholi has broken his silence after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered an FIR in connection with the death of Disha Salian. The actor took to Instagram to pen a lengthy note, stating that he never met Salian or Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray and has no association with either of them. He also said that he has nothing to hide and is not scared.

The CBI registered the FIR on September 14, following a September 2 order by the Bombay High Court directing the agency to investigate the circumstances surrounding Salian’s death. Salian, who had worked as a celebrity manager and was associated with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after falling from a building in Mumbai. The court directed the CBI to investigate the circumstances of her death after her father, Satish Salian, sought a fresh probe.

The FIR mentions several names, including Aditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, Dino Morea and Sooraj Pancholi, among others, whose roles the CBI is required to investigate.

Pancholi’s statement read, “I am saying this one more time, and I have to repeat myself because clearly people still don’t understand when I say this. I HAVE NEVER MET LATE DISHA SALIAN OR ADITYA THACKERAY EVER IN MY LIFE. Not once. Not directly. Not indirectly! And yet, the online abuse hasn’t stopped. I have been called every possible name and have even received death threats, with people assuming that I must be scared. I am not scared.”

The note further read, “I have spent years watching my name being dragged into things I had absolutely nothing to do with. I have already lost years of my life, years I can never get back! And now, when I am finally trying to rebuild my life, my career and my future, I refuse to stay silent and watch it happen all over again.”

Pancholi then stated that he cannot ignore what he has been seeing and claimed that the attempts to drag his name into the matter are because of issues certain people have with members of his family.

He also said that if there is even one small piece of evidence or any involvement connecting him to the matter, he is willing to face whatever punishment is decided by the law.
Sharing the note, he wrote, “This is something I wanted to post before my Instagram got blocked for reasons I still don’t understand. But honestly, I have so much more to say. So much has happened, so much has been said about me, and there is so much sitting inside me that I want to speak about openly and from my heart. And I will.”
