Rafael Leao conceded he does not know whether his future lies at AC Milan amid speculation over a move away from San Siro.

The Portugal winger is under contract for two more seasons but has been linked with a switch to Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Leao, who had a disappointing 25-26 season with Milan, is still on holiday following his involvement with Portugal at the World Cup, which they exited in the last 16 after a 1-0 defeat to Spain.

But Leao admitted he has spoken with the Rossoneri regarding a potential departure, though he is still anticipating reporting for training next Wednesday.

“I’ve already spoken with the club about the possibility of trying a new experience,” Leao told Brazilian podcast ‘Podpah’.

“I don’t know what will happen, I have to show up at Milanello on the 29th, and as long as I’m there, I will always give my best and respect the shirt that has given me everything.

“It’s a club that has helped me a lot in so many different ways, but in life, you have other ambitions as well. I will study the options, but for now, I remain a Milan player.”

Leao scored nine Serie A goals and provided three assists last season as Milan finished fifth, missing out on Champions League qualification as Como pipped them to fourth.

Milan face Celtic in a pre-season friendly on Saturday before then taking on arch rivals Inter Milan in Perth and Chelsea in Jakarta. They round off pre-season with a game against coach Ruben Amorim‘s former team Manchester United in Wroclaw.

Amorim will take charge of his first competitive game on August 23 when Milan visit Torino in their Serie A opener.
