When TOWIE icon Amy Childs got married to fiance Billy Delbosq, it was in front of a small group of close family and friends, followed by drinks at the local pub

TOWIE favourite Amy Childs and her fiancé Billy Delbosq finally said “I do” on Saturday 11 April in a romantic and intimate ceremony in central London, surrounded by close family and friends. Their happy day came after a hugely challenging year in which Amy had to call off the original ceremony following mum Julie’s sudden heart attack.

The reality star, 35, looked sensational when she arrived at Marylebone Town Hall with her emotional father and bridesmaids. Amy wore a show-stopping white lace gown from Debra Chigwell, chosen just a few days before the ceremony, which had a structured, corset-style bodice. She skipped the traditional bridal veil in favour of an elegant cape draped over her shoulders, and accompanied her look with a chic bob hairstyle.

Bridegroom Billy, 42, was joined by son Billy Jr ahead of the ceremony as they greeted guests arriving at the venue. The newlyweds beamed once they left the register office and the Mirror hears that there were plenty of joyful tears as they kissed on the stairs for the cameras, with the beautiful pictures taken by photographer: JULIA and YOU www.juliaandyou.com.

When Amy tossed her wedding bouquet into the crowd, it was none other than her cousin and fellow TOWIE star Harry Derbidge who caught it – although Amy’s daughter Polly did everything she could to grab it first. Currently single Harry joked, “Now all I need is a partner.”

After the wedding, Amy wrote in post on Instagram, “Still can’t believe I am married, I’m still in a bubble and I don’t want it to end… However we are onto planning our next wedding.”

Clearly on cloud nine, she also shared a gorgeous montage of video moments, in which she could be seen sipping champagne at Claridge’s before the ceremony, while three of her children sat together in front of a grand piano.

The morning of the wedding was a family affair. Amy and Billy got ready together and the bridegroom only left as Amy prepared to put on her wedding dress.

In another adorable montage, her proud father Billy can be seen arriving with her bridesmaids and giving his daughter an affectionate peck on the cheek before walking her into the ceremony.

Amy captioned it, “The way dad looked at me on my wedding day… Dad held my hand all day. Wow, who knew getting married would be so emotional. I love you Dad so much.”

Amy’s eldest daughter Polly, who turns nine next week and is from a previous relationship – as is her seven-year-old son Ritchie – had penned a poem for her new stepfather, which she read out on their special day. It included the tear-jerking line, “Bill you make us happy every day, in your kind and special way, you may not have been there from the start, but you are somewhere in my heart.”

Polly, we hear, was on top form, singing, playing the hotel piano and practising the poem she had written, and was thrilled at the chance to get dressed up alongside her mum. Adorably, the couple’s three-year-old twins Milly and Billy Jr did not leave their parents’ side, even as the vows were said.

Amy revealed, “Polly’s poem to Bill… Not a dry eye in the room. I honestly was so emotional. Bill might not have been there from the start but wow what a man. The way he loves her means everything to me. I will capture this video forever.”

The couple’s famous friends were swift to offer their congratulations, including Ferne McCann, Lauren Goodger and Rylan Clark, who wrote, “This is so beautiful. Made up for the pair of you.”

The couple got engaged in 2023, just weeks after welcoming their twins Billy Jr and Milly. Last year, Amy admitted that she was heartbroken to have had to postpone their big day in October of the same year. At the time, she told OK !, “It has been intensely stressful. None of us was expecting Mum to have a heart attack. It turned our world upside down.”

The family had been enjoying a holiday in Tenerife when Amy received the bombshell news about her mum’s health. She said, “We got the awful phone call from my dad that Mum had a heart attack when we were out there, and we decided to fly home that same night.”

They decided to cancel the wedding they had planned at Cliveden House in Berkshire. Amy said, “It’s upsetting, but I know we’ve made the right decision. Right now, we’re focused on looking after Mum.”

In the very first episode of TOWIE, Amy was seen modelling a bridal gown and saying to cousin Harry, “I can’t wait to one day wear a wedding dress.” Happily, Amy and Billy got their fairy-tale day in the end, with mum Julie looking on proudly.

The newlyweds remained in London for a lavish minimoon afterwards, staying at Claridge’s and treating themselves to a spa day with the kids and lunch at Gordon Ramsay’s exclusive Lucky Cat restaurant.

A delighted Billy raved about their stay, writing on Instagram, “I honestly cannot begin to thank the hotel enough for accommodating us in such a special way and the unbelievable staff for always looking after me and my family… And for that I will forever be grateful.”
