The news of Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya came shortly after the former served a doping ban for three months in 2025. Jannik spoke to some reporters, saying that he was happy to be able to return to the court. Recalling the ban, he said that he was able to spend a lot of time with all those who have been close to him, including his family. Jannik then commented on his current relationship status and said:

“I’m not in a relationship. So, whoever is asking, that’s it. It’s all good.”

He said during an interview with Vanity Fair Italy that when it comes to his personal life, he wishes to protect the people who are close to him. Sinner stated that it is a very small job to do, and it has even helped him to gain a lot of self-confidence at the same time. Referring to the challenges that emerge in his personal life, he said:

“Of course it’s not easy, I travel a lot and during tournaments I’m very focused. But I think it’s a wonderful thing when you find the right love. Like everyone else. And then, if you think about it, the best tennis players in the world all have wives and children.”

The reports of Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya’s split had also emerged in 2024. The rumours started when Jannik refused to speak much about Anna in an interview. He said at that time that the feeling can be different when someone is in a relationship. Jannik mentioned that he wants the romance to be natural, and he cannot change himself as a player.
