Jaxson Dart set to undergo season-ending knee surgery in devastating Giants blow

Jaxson Dart couldn’t find a way back onto the field.

The Giants quarterback is expected to undergo season-ending surgery on his left knee after suffering MCL, PCL and meniscus damage, according to ESPN.

Dart’s ACL reportedly is fine, but the other damage turned an injury the Giants first believed as non-season-ending into one that will cap his season at one game plus one drive.

The quarterback reportedly had been seeking second opinions after learning that the injury was worse than both he and the team initially believed.

Jameis Winston, who struggled in relief of Dart on Monday in the 28-6 loss to the Rams, will take over as the Giants’ starting quarterback.
