Jennifer Lopez is said to be dating her new co-star and Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein. The singer and actress, 57, famously married fellow Hollywood star Ben Affleck in 2022, almost 20 years after they were originally an item.
After being single single since her second heartbreaking split from Ben, insiders have claimed that Jennifer is now “casually” dating Brett, 46, after they met filming Netflix movie Office Romance where they played a couple.
A source told PageSix: “The one thing they have in common is they both enjoy going out to parties and restaurants. Unlike her ex Ben [Affleck] who always had a scowl on his face when they were out.”
Jennifer, who began her career when she was cast as the titular tragic singer in the biopic Selena before enjoying major music success with hits like Jenny From The Block and Waiting For Tonight whilst also balancing a huge acting career, made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in June where she hailed Brett as “the best kisser” she had ever worked with.
During a game of Plead The Fifth, she said: “I’m gonna say my favourite, I just did a movie with Brett Goldstein and I’d say he was the best kisser.”
The news comes just days after Ben made ultra rare comments about Jennifer in a recent interview, describing her as the “hardest-working person” he had ever met, and insisted that she “deserved” every bit of success she has achieved.
Speaking on The Moment with Jorge and Paola Ramos podcast, he added: “In terms of professionally watching her do what she does, seeing I think that that she’s exposed degree of criticism still in which I think there is a subconscious double-standard. And also I stand in like enormous respect for what she’s been able to achieve. She’s also taken real risks, invested her own money.
“She’s done all the things that we’re told this is what great American entrepreneurs do. She’s done them to spectacular success and I have nothing but respect for.
“She also is probably the hardest working person that I’ve ever known. I feel like I work pretty hard but around her… it’s really something. Not just from her, but her family and people I got to know through them. She’s pretty extraordinary and I’m not surprised to see her have ongoing success. She deserves it in every way.”
Good Will Hunting star Ben met singer Jen in 2002 on the set of their movie, Gigli. J-Lo was married to second husband Cris Judd at the time but said she felt sparks immediately with Ben. “I really felt when I met Ben, ‘OK, this is it’,” she told at the time.
Ben went on to marry 13 Going On 30 actress Jennifer Garner. They have children Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and 14-year-old Sam together, but the couple called it quits in 2015.
In the meantime, J-Lo walked down the aisle with singer Marc Anthony. They had twins Max and Emma, now 17. They divorced in 2014, three years after separating.
