Counting on to seven.
With six kids at home, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are already outnumbered three-to-one.
Now, they have announced, Jessa is pregnant with Baby #7.
How far along is she? When is she due?
‘Six weeks pregnant with number seven’
On the Wednesday, October 28 episode of The UnplannedPodcast, Jessa and Ben Seewald were Matt and Abby Howard’s guests.
“We’re actually expecting again,” Jessa revealed on the podcast.
“What?” Matt exclaimed.
“Yeah,” Jessa confirmed.
She specified that she is currently “six weeks pregnant with number seven.”
In case we have to spell it out for anyone, seven is going to be a lot of children.
Jessa and Ben are already parents to 10-year-old Spurgeon, 9-year-old Henry, 7-year-old Jane, 5-year-old Fern, 2-year-old George, and 1-year-old Owen.
Those were not all of Jessa’s pregnancies. To her knowledge, she has suffered two miscarriages.
(This is your regular reminder that doctors generally advise waiting two years between childbirth and becoming pregnant again to give the body time to heal. This is not advice that the Seewalds have been heeding.)
Their very full house is about to become even fuller, though, obviously, six weeks is extremely early in the pregnancy. Based upon Jessa’s statement on how far she is along, we’re probably looking at a spring due date. Possibly May or early June — though this is, of course, only an educated guess.
She does not really want anyone’s ‘negative opinions’
Back in August of 2025, Jessa announced the birth of Baby #6.
Even before giving birth to Owen, she had lamented how many people have voiced their negative opinions about her ever-growing family.
“When it comes to people saying negative opinions, I know this is not the case for everyone, but for me personally, I’ve never had anybody walk up to my face and be nasty,” Jessa shared in May of that year.
“I have heard a lot of rude and unnecessary comments,” she acknowledged, “but generally those are just online.”
Many people are rude and hostile when they feel that they have a degree of anonymity, as if ordinary social rules went away when their faces are behind screennames. The effects upon our society have been deleterious.
Even before her marriage, Jessa spoke about wanting to have a large family.
However, she has clarified that she does not want to emulate her own childhood of having 18 siblings.
This isn’t a slight against Michelle.
Though she is widely reviled among many familiar with her, Jessa continues to sing her praises.
At any rate, let’s hope that the Seewald household is prepared for Baby #7.
