Price Tag star Jessie J returned to Instagram to share an update with her followers after undergoing her second cancer reconstruction surgery
Jessie J has shared a health update after undergoing her second cancer reconstruction surgery. The Price Tag singer, 38, previously went under the knife for a mastectomy and, in May, announced that she was cancer free 11 months after receiving her initial diagnosis.
And on Thursday she took to her Instagram Stories to share her condition following the second operation. She told her followers: “So I just got home from my second surgery and all went well so I just wanted to tell you that I’m okay.
And after revealing her upcoming show, An Evening With Jessie J, is sold out she added: “Yeah man, life is good. Sending love. Good energy. See you soon.”
Earlier this month, she shared a lengthy post to tell her fans she was taking a step back from the limelight for a short time to “give my mind, body and heart a well needed hug”.
She added: “I am not at my best but very far from my worst. I know people can twist these kinds of posts. It’s no secret that the last 2 years have been magical, successful, life changing and extremely busy.
“I have loved the last 2 years mostly, hated it in moments and learnt the most I have ever learnt about myself and what I want from my life and mostly what I want it to FEEL like.”After listing all the events in her life over the timeframe, she added: “The past 2 years has taken a toll on parts of me that I haven’t had time to give space and grace to. Now’s the time. Work has slowed down. So healing speeds up please.”
She continued to say she was “tapping out” of social media for a while to “finally have my second cancer reconstruction surgery, to recharge, heal, to rest, to process, to love on myself and my boy, to water the next chapter of my life and most importantly be present and really live”.
She said: “I never feel I can really give that side the energy and time it deserves when it’s needed while staying on socials and my phone so much. A digital cleanse it is.
“I’m posting this for the people who would give af that I haven’t posted or been active for a while. The people who have followed, supported, loved and cared on me and for me during this journey. Thank you for holding me up.”
The mum-of-one was first diagnosed with early breast cancer in 2025, and told fans of the news when explaining she was going under the knife for a mastectomy.
