Spotify has renewed its contract with star podcaster Joe Rogan, inking a nine-figure, multi-year deal, according to a report.

The new contract is similar to Rogan’s previous $250 million deal with the Swedish-based streaming service that he inked in 2024 for his wildly popular “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. The article did not put an exact dollar figure on Rogan’s earnings.

“The partnership with Spotify has been an amazing fit, and they’re incredible to work with,” Rogan said in a statement. “I’m extremely happy and excited to continue with them for years to come.”

“The Joe Rogan Experience” is the most popular podcast in the US, according to Edison Research, which began tracking the market in 2019. Rogan’s show has more than 18 million followers on Spotify and over 21 million on YouTube.

Launched in 2009, Rogan’s podcast features in-depth, wide-ranging interviews with comedians, Hollywood A-listers, politicians, scientists and authors.

Rogan has gained a massive following thanks to his no-nonsense, sometimes brash, commentary featuring contrarian views that occasionally spark controversy.

Rogan is known for challenging wokeism and cancel culture, nurturing “manosphere” talent along the way.

Ahead of the 2024 election, he interviewed and endorsed President Donald Trump, though he has since spoken out against the GOP administration on issues like immigration enforcement.

True to form, Rogan has also slammed far-left Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont for kowtowing to “the Democratic establishment.”

Spotify first tapped Rogan in 2020, paying him more than $100 million to put the show on its platform exclusively. The podcast reached about 28.4 million Americans in the second quarter of this year, according to Edison, up from 6.6 million at the beginning of 2020.

In early 2024, Spotify renewed the deal and began distributing the show across all podcast platforms, including YouTube.

Under Rogan’s new agreement, Spotify — which boasts 300 million premium subscribers — will continue to handle sales and licensing for the podcast, which is available across multiple services.
