Jonathan Taylor’s wife is getting in on the trade action, but he doesn’t seem to mind.
After losing to the undefeated Vikings on Sunday, it’s becoming more and more clear that the Colts will be sellers at the NFL’s looming trade deadline and Taylor will be in demand. Trade rumors have been swirling around the running back and his wife, Ayanna, has even been using social media to discuss the comments around her husband.
“It’s been out there already, so I think her adding [to it] doesn’t really change anything,” Taylor said after the Colts’ 16-10 loss. “You know everybody’s on TikTok these days. So, you just gotta come into work and stay focused.”
Ayanna Taylor has made various TikTok videos, weighing in on why her husband and high school sweetheart could be moved and claims there is “more to this story.”
“We have been on the team for seven years and that’s kind of unheard of in the NFL,” she said in a video posted on Sunday. “You’re very lucky if you’re able to do so and we’re in a situation that we’ve never been in before. This may be the first time we may not be on the same team, and we might get traded.”
She then went on to break down the expectations for the Colts after what was an 8-2 start in 2025 that turned into a seven-game losing streak after quarterback Daniel Jones tore his Achilles. Yet, going into Sunday’s game in Minnesota, the Colts were 2-4 coming off a loss to a then-winless Titans and thus brought on the firing of GM Chris Ballard.
“Players that once seemed untouchable may now be on the table. Hence, the rumors circulating around my husband,” Ayanna added. “But there’s more to this story, so like for part 2.”
In her second video, Ayanna layed out the situation the Colts are in — they’re 2-5, have no GM and have no first-round draft pick heading into 2027 just as they did in ’26 due to Ballard’s trade for Sauce Gardner that also included Adonai Mitchell to the Jets.
“How are they going to get new leadership to come in when they have really have no options for new leadership to transform?” she said while stating a rebuild is on the horizon, pointing back to her husband.
“Do they keep him [Taylor] as a contender moving forward in the future? Or do they just cut their losses and trade him for as much asset value as they can?” Ayanna speculated while adding the rumors aren’t “proven” and “nothing is done until the fat lady sings.”
At the time of writing, the videos have a combined 165.8K views.

The trade deadline is Nov. 10 and Taylor has said he hasn’t “given it any thought,” but it’s no secret his wife has.
“I want to know your guys’ thoughts and what you think. Are we gonna stay on the Colts and just ride in the sunset with them? Or is my life about to completely flip, and I’m about to start a whole new chapter of my life?” she concluded. “Let me know and follow along because apparently my life is now a Colts transaction watch.”
Taylor just signed a two-year $44 million extension with the Colts during training camp, and yet on Sunday, four teams emerged from the pack that are considering the possibility of trading for the three-time Pro Bowler — the Packers, Seahawks, Broncos and Vikings.
He is still owed the rest of his nearly $7 million base salary this year, and $16 million in ’27 followed by nearly $18 million in ’28.
The 27-year-old has lived up to the deal this season, rushing 587 yards for eight touchdowns across the seven weeks.
His 38-yard touchdown on Sunday was his 77th of his career and it extended a franchise record.
The Colts travel to Florida to face the Jaguars (4-2) in Week 8.
