Katie Price has revealed that, despite being caught in the Middle East conflict while in Dubai, she feels safer than she does in London due to ‘shootings and more crime’

Katie Price has revealed she feels safer in Dubai due to “shootings” across the UK. The former glamour model has been travelling between her home in the UK and the United Arab Emirates, where her husband, Lee Andrew, lives.

Despite the ongoing conflict across the Middle East, Price, 47, isn’t too concerned. She has previously spoken about missile alert notifications while visiting her husband and once boasted about flying on a nearly empty aircraft to visit her fourth husband.

However, in her latest admission, Katie says that despite the bombings across the Middle East, she feels safer there than in her home country. This, she says, is due to frequent shootings and an increased crime rate across the UK, leaving her terrified.

Speaking to her sister, Sophie, on her podcast, The Katie Price Show: “It’s weird, you feel safe out here, and it’s all good. But then you’ve got that [fighter jets], going on. And then I go online and look at the news in England, and I’m so glad I’m in Dubai.

“Every single day I’m looking at the English news, there’s now shootings, more crime, it’s weird. Although you’ve got that going on here, you walk around you feel safe, you can leave your bag anywhere. You can be in a restaurant and leave your bag at the table, go to the toilet and come back.

“It’s safe and all like that, you’ve got no crimes going on. But in England, you’re scared to walk the streets in case you’re mugged, it’s weird isn’t it?” Katie later went on to explain that she had watched a Netflix documentary about the London 7/7 bombings, saying she hated going into London because of the terrorist attack in 2005.

On July 7, four suicide bombers struck the transport system across London, killing 52 people and injuring over 770 other civilians. Three blasts took place on the Underground system around 8:50am at Aldgate, Edgware Road and Russell Square stations. Meanwhile, the fourth device detonated at 9:47am on a bus which had been diverted to Tavistock Square, close to the British Transport Police headquarters.

Elsewhere, Katie revealed that she had been secretly working on her new Sky documentary for two years, praising the team for being “kind” and knowing “everything” about her. In her new series, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, she has vowed to share “the good, the bad and the ugly”.

In a trailer for the Sky series, Katie says: “Shall we start with the good the bad or the ugly. I am what I am, but I have got nothing to hide. You can speak to anyone you like.”

The series was initially slated to be just two episodes, but Katie revealed she persuaded bosses to stretch it to four, and there could “easily” be more. And despite her heartache and drama over the years, Price said there will be celebratory coverage of her achievements.
