After Katie Price took to Instagram to call out comedian Daniel O’Reilly after his latest joke about her disabled son, the star’s husband has taken things a stage further

Lee Andrews has vowed to ‘knock out’ Daniel O’Reilly – aka Dapper Laughs – for reportedly making another joke at the expense of wife Katie Price’s disabled son Harvey.

Katie has called out the controversial comic, known to his social media followers as Dapper Laughs, and demanded he is cancelled in the wake of another inappropriate remark. She has been open about the concerns she has for the lad, who requires round-the-clock care due to his complex health conditions.

Harvey, 23, has been diagnosed with the genetic disorder Prader-Willi syndrome, as well as autism and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness. We are not reporting the details of his so-called gag, years after he last enraged the family with a similar cruel barb.

Katie wrote: “So I hear last night @dappersinstagram made a joke about my son Harvey AGAIN then said ‘pretend I didn’t say anything or I’ll get cancelled again’.

“”Having to use my son with complex needs and can’t defend himself for a joke, makes this man a disgusting human being, so I prey he gets cancelled for EVERYTHING.”

Now Lee has taken things a stage further and wants Daniel to meet him in the boxing ring on social media phenomenon Misfits. He uploaded a Story of himself sparring and wrote over it: “Daniel, I’ll fight you in Miss-fits in June. I won’t ever train for it so I can knock your fat t**t all over like the stodgy little round punching bag you (are) son.”

He then reposted Katie’s angry plea for the 41-year-old to leave her son alone. It’s far from the only time Katie has been forced to defend Harvey following mean jokes on stage.

Back in 2010, Katie called out Frankie Boyle for making a dig about Harvey, who was only eight years old at the time. And she later hit out at Channel 4 for showing it again in a repeat of the show. At the time, Katie said: “By repeating Frankie Boyle’s show, Channel 4 are embracing and exploiting discrimination.”

Head of Comedy for the broadcaster, Shane Allen said: “We are aware that Frankie Boyle’s comedy can be very challenging which is why we have gone to careful lengths in scrutinising the material editorially, in scheduling the series appropriately and by giving clear and strong warnings into each of the programmes.”

He added: “We think that it is important that a space on terrestrial TV exists for comedy that takes risks and pushes boundaries and we stand by our original decision to broadcast the programme.”

Katie hit back saying: “They are saying it is ok to ridicule people – even children – for disability in a way they would not dare over race or sexual orientation. The people who control the channel are endorsing this behaviour and it is disgusting. Even the fact that Ofcom are investigating the first broadcast has not made them divert from this path.”

She continued: “This issue is not about me, other than Harvey is my son. This issue is about discrimination. By broadcasting these vile sexual comments about Harvey, and then insisting on repeating them, Channel Four are trying to take us back to an era when discrimination was accepted. They mustn’t be allowed to get away with it.”
