Recently, Katy Perry appeared on the Unfamous Podcast, during which she opened up about her split with Orlando Bloom and how deeply it affected her. She explained that at that particular time, she suppressed her anger; however, she is now dealing with all her emotions. She further revealed that in her new album, Watch It Burn, she will focus on all the dark phases she has been through in the past few months. Katy Perry was quoted as saying:

“In Watch It Burn I am wrestling with my darkness. But last year was pretty tough. I have not given myself permission to be angry my whole life over things I should be f***ing angry about. What I’ve done is I’ve pushed it down, but I should be f***ing angry. I’m allowed to be angry for a moment! Instead of falling into ‘woe is me’, I was just like, let’s feel this pain. Let’s feel this pain, let’s feel this anger and let’s move on – and let’s learn from it, also.”

Prior to her appearance at the podcast, Katy Perry, once in an interview stated that the period after her broken engagement with Orlando Bloom was the ‘hardest’. During the hard time, it was her daughter, who indirectly helped her heal. Katy Perry said, “I went through a ton and there were days that were really, really, really, really hard. And I just kept going ’cause I made a promise to my fans. I made a promise to my daughter. I made a promise to myself. And I got through it.”

By late 2018, reports claimed that they had parted ways; however, they got back together in a few months. In 2019, Orlando proposed to Katy. During the pandemic, in 2020, the couple welcomed a daughter, Daisy. After nearly a decade of togetherness, Katy and Orlando parted ways in 2025, leaving their fans heartbroken.

Earlier, Katy Perry spoke about her relationship with Justin, in a conversation with People, and shared:

“I am very in love. Actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, and so I felt very anchored by that. Every day is a fantastic journey, and every day is a chance to evolve, and to be a better person and do the right thing and to be a model for your community, for your family, for your world. I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life.”
