For the trailer launch of her much-anticipated film Cocktail 2 in Mumbai, Kriti Sanon stepped out in a sheer, boudoir-style asymmetric maxi dress by Nensi Dojaka featuring a fitted one-shoulder bodice and a billowing ivory skirt. The SS25 look showcases the London-based Albanian designer’s signature use of lingerie references in ready-to-wear, redefining modern femininity. A subtle nod to method dressing, the dress’s cut-outs and sheer details echoed Sanon’s on-screen character Ally’s bold, free-spirited persona.

The black and white lingerie-inspired maxi dress shook things out of predictability despite its failsafe monochromatic makeup. Dojaka’s reputation for mixing materials and engineering fabrics to create a conceal-and-reveal visual delivers in this look, too, where a sheer bodice runs diagonally across the torso and melts into the airy, pleated cream chiffon skirt. Since launching her label in 2019, the designer has built a reputation for bringing ’90s minimalism into her work with refined cuts.
Sanon made the look her own with her selection of unique jewellery pairings. Earrings from Curio Cottage, an ear cuff by Ahsiam and a mixed stack of pieces from Silverstreak and Sikkaa Jewellery countered the sensual look with a bohemian spirit. The gladiator-style footwear further reinforced that contrast. Sanon’s makeup followed suit with a clean, luminous base paired with softly smoky eyes and a nude lipstick. Her hair, worn open in a sleek straight blow-dry, complemented the mood.
