Kyler Murray has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and is expected to be a full participant in practice and start at quarterback for the Vikings in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“Kyler has cleared the final phase of the protocol. He’s doing great. He’ll be cleared, and he will start this week against Tampa Bay,” head coach Kevin O’Connell said Monday.

Murray was knocked out of Minnesota’s Week 1 win over the Packers on the 11th play of the game. He reportedly felt “good” 15 minutes after leaving the game and was a limited participant in practice all week before the Vikings ruled him out for Sunday’s game against the Bears.
