After a win, the Detroit Lions always release their own version of a “mic’d up” compilation from the game. Their “Sights and Sounds” videos are always worth your time, as they incorporate unique camera angles along with Dan Miller radio calls and mic’d up moments that you can’t get anywhere else.
This week’s episode detailing the Detroit Lions’ 19-15 win over the Minnesota Vikings is can’t-miss.

Obviously, it was an emotional game with Jack Campbell’s traumatic injury, and I think One Pride Productions does a good job covering that moment with grace and compassion while properly conveying the gravity and emotions of the moment.
One other aspect of the game they uncovered was a moment of redemption that may have gone overlooked. This week, Lions receiver Jameson Williams was mic’d up, and it captured a couple of very interesting moments. Williams was involved in two extremely critical plays in the game. The first was his biggest mistake of the afternoon.
It was the fourth quarter, and the Lions led 12-7. They had just gotten an emotional fourth-down stop on defense, and it was up to the offense to extend their lead and bleed some of the remaining 13 minutes of game time. Facing a third-and-inches, Jared Goff ran a QB sneak up the middle for a first down. But Williams had not properly reported as off the line of scrimmage, causing the refs to call illegal formation. Detroit would not convert the third-and-6, and they punted it back to Minnesota.
As he was coming off the field, dejected, Williams was met with a coaching staff that had a message for him:

“You owe us,” Lions coach Dan Campbell said.
“I know, I know, I know,” Williams replied.
The Vikings capitalized on Williams’ mistake, driving the length of the field to take the lead 15-12 with just under nine minutes remaining. That’s when Lions receivers coach Scottie Montgomery repeated the message to Williams.
“You owe us,” Montgomery said. “Go back, make a play. I know the frustration. It [redacted] sucks. But we know you’re in. So stay in, okay?”
“Yup,” Williams replied.
What ensued was one of the Lions’ most impressive drives of the season. Detroit went 69 yards on just seven plays, led by five rushes for 57 yards—all of at least 9 yards. The cameras show Williams blocking is ass off the entire time. And on the first snap of Detroit’s goal-line offense, Jared Goff pulled the rug out from underneath the Vikings defense with a play-action pass to a wide-open Williams.

As he sprinted toward the sideline following his game-winning catch, Williams reminded the staff of his redemption.
Campbell: “Way to pay us back! That’s what I’m talking about!”
Williams: “Hey! I owe you, don’t I? I owe you, don’t I?”
Then, to Montgomery:
Williams: “Hey! I owe you, don’t I?
Montgomery: “Let’s go!”
Williams: “I still owe you! I still owe you! Aw, yeah! Aw, yeah!”
It’s a great moment caught on tape by the One Pride Production crew. You can watch the entire video below:
