Here’s the full list of Premier League international broadcasters.

Preview for Liverpool v Arsenal

Liverpool have hit their stride at exactly the right time. Andoni Iraola’s side welcome champions Arsenal to Anfield on Sunday afternoon, unbeaten in five games in all competitions and knowing that a win would cut the gap to the Gunners to just three points.

The uncertainty surrounding Manchester City means this could turn out to be a battle between the two most likely title winners.

The Reds needed penalties to get past Chelsea in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes, but Iraola made seven changes for that game, so his first-choice players should be fresh. Before that, Liverpool had won four in a row, including a 2-0 victory over Brighton last weekend that gave them their first Premier League home win of the season.

Iraola’s record in 2026 is remarkable. Dating back to his time at Bournemouth, he has lost only two of his 27 Premier League games this calendar year, winning 12 and drawing 13. That gives him the lowest defeat percentage of any Premier League manager in a calendar year since Jürgen Klopp in 2019. One of those two defeats came against Arsenal in January.

Arsenal are second with 21 points and they beat Everton 2-0 at the Emirates last weekend. However, their season took an unexpected turn for the worse on Tuesday night as they were bundled out of the EFL Cup by League Two strugglers Fleetwood.

That defeat also cost them Max Dowman, who was sent off for his reaction to a heavy challenge and is now suspended. With Bukayo Saka also out, Mikel Arteta arrives at Anfield short of wide options.

The Premier League Table

  • Position 1, 2, 3, 4 : Promotion – Champions League (League phase)
  • Position 5 : Promotion – Europa League (League phase)
  • Position 18, 19, 20 : Relegation – Championship

Team News for Liverpool v Arsenal

Dominik Szoboszlai is close to returning from his hamstring injury, but Iraola has urged patience, so a start looks unlikely. Víctor Muñoz is a doubt with a knee problem after missing the Brighton and Chelsea games. Conor Bradley, Jeremie Frimpong, Hugo Ekitike and Giovanni Leoni are all sidelined.

For Arsenal, Saka is out with a thigh injury, and Arteta has said he will be out for weeks. Dowman is suspended and Noni Madueke is carrying an ankle problem. If the England international is not fit then Arteta will have to reshuffle and play a midfielder, perhaps Martin Odegaard in a wider role.

William Saliba and Christos Tzolis remain sidelined.

Prediction for Liverpool v Arsenal

It’s impossible to imagine Arsenal can be as bad as they were at Fleetwood. But despite not hitting top gear in recent weeks, they still sit joint top of the table and we can’t see them losing here.

Whether they are good enough to claim all three points is another matter.
