Hyderabad: A 50-year-old woman Anjamma was killed by her brother Saidulu for supporting her younger sister in connection with a dispute over 242 square yards of land in Atmakur mandal in Suryapet district.

Saidulu has two sisters Anjamma and Upendra alias Uma. The family members gave 2.05 acres of land in survey number 119 to Upendra. After Upendra’s husband died, she is staying with her sister Anjamma.

Saidulu entered into a dispute with Upendra stating that the land given to Upendra was not 2.05 acres but only 2.03 acres. Upendra had previously met the village elders, police, RDO and district Collector on the issue.

Her sister Anjamma supported Upendra on the issue forcing Saidulu to bore a grudge against Anjamma and decided to eliminate her.

According to his plan, Saidulu with the help of his brother-in-laws attacked Anjamma with a knife and murdered her when she was on the way to attend Mahatma Gandhi NREGA works. Upon receiving information, the police rushed to the spot and collected details.

A clues team and a dog squad were also pressed into service to collect evidence.
