McFly fans got a big surprise at the band’s recent concert – as Tom Fletcher brought out 12 year old son Buzz on stage to the delight of cheering crowds

McFly fans were left ‘in tears’ as the iconic band brought out Tom Fletcher’s oldest son, Buzz, onto the stage during a recent concert. In the electric moment, the 12-year-old proved he’s inherited his dad’s amazing stage presence.

Even though it’s been 23 years since McFly was formed, they still have a strong fan base and continue to tour across the UK, with several concerts planned throughout the summer. Founded in 2003, the band still features the four original members: Danny Jones, Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter and Tom Fletcher.

The band recently played a show at Lincoln Castle on June 14, when they called out a very special guest to join them on stage to perform Five Colours In Her Hair.

In videos posted on social media of the sweet moment, Buzz Fletcher, the oldest son of Tom and Giovanna Fletcher, stepped out on stage with his own electric guitar as he made his way towards Tom and Danny.

Danny then went on to tell the audience: “Everybody say ‘Buzz, set it off!'” As the audience chants, Buzz goes on to play the starting riff to Five Colours In Her Hair.

The rest of the band went on to join him, with Tom taking a step closer to Buzz. Adorably, the father-and-son duo smiles at each other in excitement.

As they continue to play, Dougie also appears, as he runs a circle around the now youngest band member. One thing’s for sure, they all had a blast up on stage.

The special moment left many fans feeling emotional, with many admitting they were ‘left in tears’. One concert-goer gushed: “Could they not be more talented?”

Someone else said: “Tom is literally closing the circle. He played with his dad when he was a child, now Buzz plays with him. This is so precious.”

Another commented: “You should be so proud Tom Fletcher – I sobbed.” A third joked: “That beats any ‘go to work with your dad’ day I ever had!!”

And a fourth fan pointed out: “Also him not being far off how old Dougie was when McFly started.” They have a point, as Dougie was just 15 years old when he auditioned for and joined McFly in 2003.

As the band’s bassist and youngest member, his age helped the group secure a Guinness World Record at the time for being the youngest band to have a debut album (Room on the 3rd Floor) go straight to number one in the UK charts.
