Meghan Markle has triggered conversation as she was pictured making what’s been deemed “a royal blunder”. Since the image was shared, many people have made the same complaint.
The Duchess of Sussex‘s lifestyle brand recently announced that “The Holiday Collection: Chapter One” would launch on October 6, with a promotional snap shared on Instagram to mark the occasion. Posted by As Ever with the caption: “The season of giving is almost here, and we have a few surprises in store”, the image immediately got people talking, with many making similar remarks about Meghan.
It comes after further information was released about Meghan and Prince Harry. It’s alleged they are “not on the same page” about a key aspect of their UK return.
Although comments were disabled beneath Meghan’s post, this did little to quell the chatter, as the image was swiftly reposted on X, sparking a flurry of debate with remarkably similar observations.
Highlighting the alleged gaffe, one social media user wrote: “If you’re going to pretend as if you’re cooking on a gas range, do at least two smart things. One – make sure it’s actually turned on, the knobs aren’t even turned. Two, at least make it look like there’s flames coming out underneath that pan. Tell us you don’t cook without telling us you don’t cook.”
One individual responded, stating: “All smoke and mirrors.” Another chimed in: “Uhhh does Meghan Markle know to turn the stove on before cooking?”
A third remarked: “Have no words, besides absolutely hilarious.” Meanwhile, a fourth observed: “It’s like NO ONE knows what they’re doing. It’s absurd.”
Another also pointed out: “She’s making Pretend Stew.” In the photograph, which appeared on the As Ever page, it seemed there was no visible flame beneath the pot on the hob. Additionally, the temperature controls appeared to be switched off completely.
While it may well have simply been arranged for a photograph, viewers couldn’t resist commenting on it. Many found it amusing that the setup appeared somewhat unconvincing.
However, some observers proved rather more understanding. One suggested: “That woman was just pretending to cook for a photoshoot.”
Another pointed out: “Meghan’s kitchen looks absolutely stunning and her Advent Calendar just sold out.”
One more offered an alternative explanation, writing: “How daft. The heat can be turned off because the food is cooked through and needs occasional stirring before serving.”
According to reports, Meghan’s “Holiday Collection” will include a hostess hamper along with a set of As Ever playing cards. This follows her recent launch of a luxury advent calendar priced at approximately £112.
Meghan’s new range will also feature three chocolate bars in Ginger Lemon, Lavender Honey and Hibiscus Rose flavours. The Duchess’s lifestyle brand will officially unveil “The Holiday Collection: Chapter One” on October 6.
The collection has reportedly been promoted with the tagline “Merriment in the Making”. It said: “The holidays have a way of reminding us how much joy can be found in the moments that make up a life.
“They invite us to gather a little closer, to make things with our hands, to set the table with care, and to give generously to the people we love.”
