The New York Mets have signed interim manager Andy Green to a three-year deal, the team announced on Tuesday.
The 49-year-old Green took over for Carlos Mendoza, who was fired on June 26.
Through 75 games under Green, the Mets have posted a 37-38 record. With six games left in the regular season, New York is last in the NL East with a 71-85 record. They will miss out on the postseason for the second consecutive season and third in the last four.
