Modi Virtually Inaugurates Revamped HITEC City Railway Station

Hyderabad: The redeveloped Hitec City railway station in Hyderabad was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday as part of a nationwide programme held in Jind, Haryana, where he launched projects worth ₹14,700 crore.

At Hyderabad, during a parallel function held at the Hitec City station, prizes were distributed to students who participated in competitions organised as part of the event.

South Central Railway general manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava speaking at the event said the inauguration of 75 Amrit Stations across the country marked a significant milestone. The Hitec City station, part of the scheme, had been redeveloped with a new building and upgraded passenger amenities, including waiting halls, signages, lifts, escalators and facilities for Divyangjan.

BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao said railway infrastructure in the state has expanded under the leadership of Modi and expressed confidence that Hyderabad would emerge as a major rail hub.

BJP MLC A.V.N. Reddy said the country had witnessed growth in recent years and noted improvements in train travel. He said railway projects worth over ₹40,000 crore are under way in Telangana and added that the Union government is focusing on improving connectivity across sectors, including railways.
