In the beginning, there was the ur-Modus in Highgate: a dapper, minimal space off Beaufort Street that felt like a secret discovery serving excellent coffee. While Modus might not be as secret these days – as to be expected when a group adds a couple more cafes and a roastery to its line-up – its commitment to great drinking remains steadfast. Baked treats from sister bakery Goods Bakery round off a compelling package.
