The highly anticipated epic tale of Ramayana is just over a month away from making its theatrical release. What further increases the hype is the collaboration between two of the greats in the industry, who are the well renowned music composers A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer. To further elaborate on the hype, the Oscar winning VFX studio along with its sister studio Redefine will be leading the project.
Just over a week back for the promotion of Ramayana, the biggest YouTuber of all time, MrBeast, made a visit to India. During this event, he mentioned how excited he was to see a glimpse of the movie. He also met the lead cast of the movie including Ranbir Kapoor (Ram), Ravie Dubey (Laxman) and Sai Pallavi (Sita) among many other members. Just recently, a BTS video was released where the director of the film Nitesh Tiwari and the producer Namit Malhotra shared their opinions on Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Rama.
Nitesh Tiwari spoke highly about how he felt thinking about Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of Lord Ram. He said, “As for Ranbir, the way I had always imagined, Lord Rama would walk, sit, speak, and carry himself… Ranbir has all those qualities.”
Further adding to this, Namit Malhotra, put more emphasis on the statement. He said, “That sincerity on that face of Ranbir became… I think for Nitesh and I… There was not even a reason for debate.”
Not only them but even his co-star, Ravie Dubey, poured an extra layer of sentiment, as he said, “I feel that the simplicity that we see in Lord Rama is what I can see in Ranbir’s eyes as well, many times.”
Ranbir Kapoor will also be starring in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next Love & War, expected to release in the first half of 2027.
Ramayana will release in theatres on November 8, 2026.
