Munawar Faruqui And Wife, Mehzabeen Welcome Their First Child Together, Comedian Says, ‘Ghar…’

Popular comedian, Munawar Faruqui and his second wife, Mehzabeen Coatwala, are over the moon as they welcomed their first child together. A while ago, Munawar announced the baby’s arrival. The couple embraced parenthood after 2 years of marriage. For the unversed, Munawar tied the knot with celebrity makeup artist, Mehzabeen Coatwala in May 2024. It is worth mentioning that Munawar got married to Mehzabeen for his son, Mikael, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Jasmine.

On April 1, 2026, Munawar Faruqui took to his Instagram handle and shared a carousel featuring his wife, Mehzabeen Coatwala and their little princess. The comedian kept both Mehzabeen and their little angel’s face hidden. The post was all things adorable. Munawar captioned the post as:

“Ghar barkat aayi. Blessed. Alhmdulillah. Dua mai khas yaad rakhe!”

In July 2025, Munawar appeared on Farah Khan’s YouTube vlog. In the vlog, the comedian shared that he got married to Mehzabeen within five months of knowing her. Munawar revealed that he tied the knot with the celebrity makeup artist for his son, Mikael. The comedian stated that after he came out of the Bigg Boss house, he got engaged in various projects, and thus, Mikael had to stay with his sister. However, Munawar felt that both he and his son, Mikael, needed each other. The comedian added that Mehzabeen also has a daughter. He was quoted as saying:

“When I came out of Bigg Boss, I was working a lot. Mikael was living with my sister then. He was with me for a week, and we spent a lot of time together. When he was leaving, I felt like I didn’t want him to go. I felt that he needed me. He kept hugging me the whole time. When he was leaving, I felt like he needed me and more than him, I think I need him. In that moment, I thought about what is it that I should do so I can make him stay with me. For him, I took that decision.”

After Munawar and Mehzabeen’s marriage, the duo formed a blended family by including their children, Mikael and Samaira. Now that Munawar and Mehzabeen have welcomed their first child, the former’s take on fatherhood resurfaced online. In a candid interview with Nikhil Taneja in 2026, Munawar shared that he instils values differently in Samaira and Mikael. The comedian highlighted that he is kind of strict with Mikael. He was quoted as saying:

“I teach both of them when they are together because siblings often fight while playing. But whenever he (his son) is with his female cousins or sister, I try to be strict with him. He (his son) realises that he cannot talk to a girl like that. You can’t shout at a girl. He understands that he needs to be gentle with girls.”

While Munawar is a well-known stand-up comedian, Mehzabeen is a celebrity makeup artist. Munawar and Mehzabeen are parents of three children, son, Mikael, daughter, Samaira and the baby girl whose name is yet to be revealed.
