NIT Warangal Hosts Youth Delegation from Meghalaya Under Yuva Sangam Phase VI

Adilabad: The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, is hosting a 49-member youth delegation from Meghalaya under Phase VI of the Yuva Sangam programme from May 25 to 31.

The initiative is being organised under the ministry of education’s flagship Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme and is coordinated by IIM Shillong.

The week-long programme focuses on cultural, educational, technological and experiential learning activities aimed at strengthening national integration and emotional bonding among youth from different parts of the country.

The inaugural programme was attended by NIT Warangal Director Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi, Dean of Students Welfare and Faculty Advisor Prof. K. Kiran Kumar, faculty coordinator Prof. Hariprasad Reddy, faculty members, student volunteers and institute officials.

Prof. Subudhi said the programme is expected to strengthen cultural understanding, friendship and educational collaboration between the youth of Meghalaya and Telangana, while reflecting the spirit of unity in diversity.

As part of the programme, delegates will visit the Unesco World Heritage Site Ramappa temple, Thousand Pillars Temple, Warangal Fort, Laknavaram Lake, the Tribal Museum at Tadvai and T-Hub in Hyderabad.

Participants will also interact with self-help group members and village communities to understand Telangana’s innovation ecosystem, entrepreneurship initiatives, cultural diversity and rural development models.
