Doors open at 3pm on Saturdays, so forget lunch. You’re here to drink up the golden hour sun with a Paloma in hand, lazing al fresco as waitstaff bring you hit after hit of Italian-ish favourites. Fish sangas with crumbed snapper, tangy pickles and spongy white bread from Caba Bakehouse just down the road. Enormous local prawns, brushed with fiery ’nduja butter before hitting the barbecue. Pizza, stretched and rolled to order, with vibrant green rounds of marinated zucchini and sizzling ribbons of pancetta.

The kids get their own menu, you get another glass, and everyone gets the house-made pistachio gelato – served in a frosty coupe, nutty with a soft vanilla sweetness. Co-owners Rachel Duffy and Daniel Medcalf both come from Bondi’s iconic Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, so you know you’re in for a perfect summer’s day by the seaside.

Good to know: It’s only a block from Cabarita Beach – meaning it’s perfect for post-beach drinks.
