Oasis have recently sold out all 42 dates for their upcoming Live ’27 tour, with over two million tickets being sold, despite more than 11 million signing up for their code ballot.
Some might say that Oasis’ upcoming Live ’27 tour has exceeded what even Liam and Noel Gallagher could have imagined with 11 million people thought to have signed up for codes.
However, fans hoping for even more dates to be added to next year’s run are likely to be disappointed, it was reported tonight.
Earlier this month, the brothers confirmed the news that fans had been waiting for – another tour, following the success of Live ’25, which saw Liam and Noel on stage together for the first time in almost 16 years.
After Live ’25 wrapped, fans had been speculating that the two brothers would one day get back up on stage, having squashed their war of words. And indeed, following a “period of reflection,” it was time to once again line up in virtual queues on Ticketmaster.
Next year, the mega-band will play five shows in Scotland, before heading to their beloved Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium for an impressive 11 nights. And as if that wasn’t enough, they’ve smashed records with a staggering six nights at Knebworth House, beating the record of three consecutive nights, previously held by Robbie Williams.
But could there be more tour dates coming from the band? Or do fans have to roll with just 42? “There were just over two million tickets for sale with over 11 million people registering,” a source told The Sun.
The source went on to add: “They have a 11-night residency at the Etihad Stadium but they could have sold it out 179 times. Noel and Liam were blown away by the reception from their fans and wish they could have added more shows – but 42 concerts is their lot.”
Fans who had been hoping to snap up tickets had to register their email address and answer the question, “Which Oasis album was released in 1995?” The band used the platform Openstage to give genuine fans a chance, beating ticket touts who often resell tickets for a considerable amount.
Those who entered the ballot spent three days waiting to find out whether they had been emailed a code and a unique link that was linked directly to their Ticketmaster account, granting them access to a specific sale window over the course of three days.
Last week, due to unprecedented demand, the band added a string of extra dates across the tour. At the time of the initial announcement, only four dates at Knebworth were shared, with fans speculating that two additional dates would be added later.
Earlier this month, Live ’27 promoters announced a new approach to live music at the venue. To keep the concert as accessible as possible, there will be additional transport and accommodation options – including rail and coach services and a purpose-built camping site.
They also added additional shows in Rome and Munich. They will take to the stage at Munich’s Allianz Arena on July 6 and at Rome’s Olympic Stadium on July 26. They’re also now performing in Paris on July 20 and 23, due to planned railway engineering works close to the Stade de France on July 24.
On Sunday night, once all tickets sold out, Liam penned on X, formerly known as Twitter: “That’s all folks. We have officially sold out, no more tickets left, congratulations to everyone who got a ticket and to the people who didn’t sneak in f**k it.”
But while many had assumed that Live ’25 was the only time to “witness the fitness”, plans for a second tour were discussed back in 2025 on the second night of their run at Wembley. Noel said on TalkSport: “Nobody knew what was going to happen and how it was going to go. We did Cardiff and Manchester, and by the time we got to Wembley, someone said ‘Well y’know…’ And yeah, it was decided we were gonna do it. And it was all set in motion then.
“We couldn’t do Europe because our fans in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Holland, and all that have been great with us down the years, so we couldn’t do that. These ideas start as a little idea. Then the Vegas and Boston gigs were two we were supposed to do last time, but we couldn’t do them for some reason.”
