Nellore:Renowned government doctor and associate professor of pathology at ACSR Government Medical College, Dr B. Krishnamoorthy, passed away following a cardiac arrest on Monday evening.

Family members said he collapsed at the entrance of his residence while leaving for his clinic. He was rushed to KIMS Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Known for his humility and approachable nature, Dr Krishnamoorthy served at the Nellore Police Welfare Hospital for nearly a decade, offering free medical care to police personnel and their families.
He played a key role in developing the government hospital blood bank and actively promoted voluntary blood donation, earning several awards as its convener. His services during the Covid-19 pandemic were widely appreciated.
His sudden demise left the medical fraternity and the city in shock, with tributes pouring in for the dedicated doctor.
