Palash Muchhal Turns Off Comments Section After Smriti Mandhanaâs Friend Files Case

Singer and music composer Palash Muchhal visited the Khatu Shyam Temple on Wednesday amid the controversy surrounding an atrocities case filed against him by a friend of cricketer Smriti Mandhana. Sharing pictures from the temple visit on Instagram, Palash was seen offering prayers and bowing before the deity. In the caption, he wrote, “Jahan sir jhuka, wahan sukoon mila,” along with mentions of Khatu Shyam Ji, Salasar Balaji and Jeevan Mata Ji. He also disabled comments on the post.

Earlier on Wednesday, reports claimed that a case had been registered against Palash under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The complaint was filed by Vidnyan Mane, a resident of Sangli and a close childhood friend of Smriti Mandhana. According to the complaint, the incident allegedly took place on November 22 at a toll plaza on the Sangli Ashta road during an argument.

 As per the complaint, Mane accused Palash of making caste related derogatory remarks during the altercation. Based on the allegations, police registered a case under Section 3(1) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, along with Sections 351(2) and 352. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is currently underway.

Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were earlier expected to get married on November 23 ,2025 in Sangli, Maharashtra. However, the wedding was eventually called off. Smriti later shared a statement on Instagram confirming the cancellation and requested privacy. Following this, Vidnyan Mane alleged that Palash had cheated on Smriti and was caught with another woman, claims that the music composer strongly denied. Palash called the accusations baseless and factually incorrect, adding that he would take legal action against those attempting to damage his reputation.
