Kakinada:Sarpavaram police on Monday filed a petition before a special mobile court in Kakinada seeking police custody of YSRC MLC Anantha Udaya Bhaskar for questioning in a case relating to alleged intimidation and threats to witnesses in the Veedhi Subrahmanyam murder case.
According to procedure, notices will be issued to Anantha Babu before the court takes a decision on the custody plea.
Meanwhile, counsel for Anantha Babu filed a bail petition, which was yet to be taken up by the court.
He was arrested on April 24 on charges of intimidating and threatening witnesses in the murder case.
