Pro Recco and Brescia get close to Italian final

The 2025 Italian League finalists, Pro Recco and Brescia, continued their journey towards the playoffs final. Both teams recorded convincing wins in the first semifinal games.

Just a couple of days after returning from the Champions League F4, Pro Recco hosted Posillipo. The Naples-based side kept up with the favorite for two quarters. Deep into the second quarter, Posillipo trailed by two goals (8:10). However, Recco demonstrated its power, recording a 22:11 win, with four goals from Giacomo Cannella and Matteo Iocchi Gratta. Alvaro Granados and Andrea Fondelli added three each. Vincenzo Renzuto Iodice scored four for Posillipo.

Brescia defeated Savona 14:11, controlling the match from start to finish. The team, coached by Alessandro Bovo, set the pace early on. After the first period, Brescia led 4:1. In the fourth period, the hosts extended their advantage to 7 goals (13:6). Savona managed to halve the gap in the remainder of the match. Filippo Ferrero led Brescia with five goals, while Popadic added three. Savona’s Oliver Leinweber also scored three goals.
