Ramayana is not just an epic but an emotion that every Sanatani feels in their core. The story has been adapted into books, animations, films, and television shows. However, this time it is being brought to life on an even larger scale, and fans have been eagerly waiting for Diwali 2026 to see the film. Amid that, the buzz is that a scene from the film has been leaked, leading fans to question the VFX; at the same time, a content creator who attended Nimit Malhotra’s special workshop has suggested that the bad VFX might be deliberate.

A scene from Ramayana leaked?

Ramayana is one of the most awaited projects of 2026; the film is slated to hit the theatres on Diwali 2026, and fans cannot wait for it. Amid that, X went rife after a video of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ram’ fighting a demon surfaced online. Netizens have alleged that the leaked clip is a part of the trailer that was recently shown at the CinemaCon event.

However, within hours, the video garnered immense attention, with fans condemning the leak and demanding action. Meanwhile, the makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial have not issued any statement regarding the alleged leaked video. On the other hand, many users have called the video fake, claiming it is AI.

Did the Ramayana makers deliberately keep the VFX bad in the teaser?

Meanwhile, content creator, Dhruv Parikshit has reassured fans about the Ramayana’s VFX. For the unversed, ever since the teaser of the film was released on April 2, 2026, fans have been concerned about the quality of the VFX, even comparing it to Adipurush. However, Dhruv has now reassured fans that the film will be better than what they expect. He attended the creator’s day organised by the film’s makers earlier this week and recently shared his experience of seeing some extra scenes from the film.

Dhruv visited the set and met the director, Nitesh Tiwari, producer, Namit Malhotra, and actors, Yash and Ranbir Kapoor. He first shared a bunch of pictures on his Instagram, then videos of his experience. In the comments section of one of the videos, he was asked about the VFX work and whether it was incomplete. He replied:

“Yes, it was incomplete. But the vision they have, I genuinely can’t put it into words. The scenes I witnessed there were on the level of Avatar. I’m not exaggerating; they’re truly cooking something wonderful. The character designs and the world of Ramayana feel incredibly immersive.”

Dhruv shared that he also spoke with one of the VFX artists, who told him the poor VFX was intentional. The creator claimed that they had better versions of those scenes; however, the decision was made to create chatter among the audience. He penned:

I also got a chance to talk to one of their VFX artists. He told me that the creators deliberately uploaded a nerfed version of the Rama glimpse. They had better versions of those scenes, yet they intentionally chose to release the incomplete one. Why? Because discussions and criticism across the internet translate into free marketing.”

Soon after the comment was made, Dhruv deleted his reply to the original comment and added another in its place. However, the old comment had already gone viral on different platforms. In the new comment, Dhruv once again reassured fans that the film will leave the audience moved and said:

“VFX pe kaam chal raha hai, and kaafi accha kaam ho bhi Gaya hai. Humko kuch incomplete footages bhi dikhaye the, and I believe vo already complete ho chuke hain mahino pahle hi. And bhai, character designs!! They’re gorgeous! They’re absolutely wonderful. It is more like a beautiful fantasy world set in India. It is going to be a great theatrical experience.”
