Hyderabad: In what could be a significant development ahead of the Legislative Council polls, the ruling Congress in Telangana has reportedly settled on former TPCC Media and Communications Chairman Sama Ram Mohan Reddy as its candidate for the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar Graduates MLC constituency.
While official clearance from the AICC and TPCC leadership is still awaited, party insiders say Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has virtually finalised his candidature. Having led the party’s media operations and countered the opposition, his familiarity with the urban student and employee demographic makes him the leading contender for the ticket.
