Matthias Sammer has expressed his positivity and confidence for the Germany’s national team under Jürgen Klopp and his staff.
“I have great hopes for him [Klopp]. I see an absolute plan in him. Its organizational form can always be discussed, but it follows a plan.

“I think he embodies something. My great hope is that this man will bring us back an identity that we urgently need,” he told Sky Germany.
“I am confident that he is the right person for the top in my pyramid system, namely the national team.
“At the same time I have high hopes in Per Mertesacker and Hannes Wolf [Klopp’s assistants] who are the foundation.
“It [the coaching structure] will be very strong and accordingly they all have my support and I wish him all the best,” Sammer added.
Klopp’s first test as DFB head coach comes on Thursday, 24 September, where they take on the Netherlands at 20:45 CET.
