The Supreme Court has temporarily allowed the use of green firecrackers in Delhi-NCR on November 7 and 8, with restrictions on timings and locations. According to the order, firecrackers can be burst only between 6 am and 7 am and 8 pm and 10 pm on both days.
The use of firecrackers will be prohibited within 300 metres of hospitals, nursing homes, schools, old-age homes and silence zones.
‘Certified Manufacturers Allowed’
Only manufacturers certified by CSIR-NEERI and PESO will be allowed to produce green firecrackers between November 2 and 6. Each packet must carry a QR code containing product and batch details.

Online Sales Banned
The order prohibits online sales, firecracker garlands and crackers containing barium. Sales will be permitted only at locations designated by the administration. Action will be taken against those selling illegal firecrackers.
The complete ban on firecrackers across Delhi-NCR will come back into force from November 9.
