The State Election Commission has ordered a fresh poll at polling station No. 2 in Arlabanda village of Kosigi mandal in Kurnool district on November 6, from 7 am to 5 pm.
State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha issued the order on Thursday, declaring the poll held at the station on November 5 void.
The decision was based on a report from the Kurnool collector and district election authority, which stated that unidentified persons had captured the polling station and allegedly indulged in rigging by forcibly marking ballot papers and inserting them into the ballot box, thereby vitiating the poll.
