Hyderabad: The self-enumeration facility for Census of India 2027 was officially launched in Telangana on Sunday, marking a key step in the country’s population data collection process.

Shiv Pratap Shukla, the Governor of Telangana, inaugurated the initiative by completing his self-enumeration through the official online portal. The move is aimed at encouraging citizens to voluntarily provide their demographic details digitally, ensuring greater accuracy and efficiency in the census exercise.

The launch event was attended by Bharati Hollikeri and R. V. Karnan, who highlighted the importance of public participation in the process.

Karnan urged residents across Hyderabad to come forward and take part in self-enumeration, stressing that active citizen involvement is crucial for the successful implementation of Census 2027. Officials noted that the online facility is designed to make the enumeration process more accessible and streamlined, ensuring that every household is counted.
