Hyderabad:Sleuths of the commissioner’s task force, Charminar zone, along with Kalapathar police raided a store and seized 480 bobbins of banned Chinese synthetic nylon glass coated manja worth Rs 7.50 lakh.
Accused Abhishek Singh, 26, had stocked the banned material near Batko Transport in Kalapathar. During questioning Abhishek revealed that he runs a kite shop in Mangalhat and illegally procured a huge quantity of banned Chinese manja bobbins from Mohsin of Jaipur in Rajasthan and had transported the banned goods to the city through Batko Transport, K.S. Rao, additional DCP, Golconda zone and incharge additional DCP of task force, Charminar zone, said.
Cases were filed for endangering lives as well as violating orders of the environmental department, Hyderabad, besides gaining huge profits illegally, the accused along with the seized property was produced before the court for judicial remand.
