
Warangal: Former Narsampet MLA and senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy passed away late on Thursday night at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He had been admitted to the hospital five days earlier after suffering a major cardiac arrest at his residence. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
Peddi Sudarshan Reddy played a key role in the Telangana statehood movement. During his tenure as MLA, he undertook development works worth hundreds of crores of rupees, significantly improving the Narsampet Assembly constituency.
Shops and commercial establishments remained closed in Narsampet on Friday as a mark of respect for the former MLA. Traders voluntarily observed a bandh, keeping businesses and commercial complexes closed in tribute to the senior BRS leader.
