Sports Must Be Part of Life: Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh

Hyderabad:Telangana High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh on Saturday said participation in sports was more important than winning or losing, and called upon the court staff to play with a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship. The Chief Justice said the discipline, punctuality and team spirit learnt on the playing field were equally valuable in professional life.

Justice Singh was speaking after inaugurating a football tournament organised for High Court officials and staff, at the Dr MCR HRD Institute football grounds.

Observing that football was a team sport and not about individual victory, Justice Singh said it taught participants the importance of working together towards a common goal. The Chief Justice also advised the staff to give due importance to their health and physical fitness by taking part in sports and physical activities.

High Court judges Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya, Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy, Justice Kaja Sarath, Justice J. Srinivas Rao, Justice Lakshminarayana Alishetty and Justice Suddala Chalapathi Rao, Registrars Govardhan Reddy and P. Sreedhar Rao participated in the event.
