NALGONDA: A 16-year-old student who attempted suicide last week died while undergoing treatment on the day the SSC public examination results were released. She had passed the examination with 530 marks.
Darelli Varshitha attempted suicide on April 25 at Chinthagurthy village in Raghunadhapalem mandal of Khammam district after being reprimanded by her mother for waking up late.
She was first shifted to a private hospital in Khammam and later moved to a hospital in Hyderabad after her condition turned critical. She died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.
Her body was taken to her native place, where final rites were conducted on Thursday.
