New York Knicks guard Tyler Kolek doesn’t seem to be too enchanted by Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s wife, pop superstar Taylor Swift.
During an NBA 2K stream on TikTok with Knicks teammate Deuce McBride, Kolek seemingly took a shot at Swift and other “performative” celebrities who showed up during New York’s NBA Finals run in the 2026 playoffs.

“At the Knicks games, I would say it’s very performative, cause like they just want to be seen at the game. They’re not necessarily
fans,” the former Marquette Golden Eagles star said about celebrities whom he thinks only showed up to be seen above any other reason.
Kolek then made a big name drop.
“Maybe Taylor Swift?” Kolek said. “I don’t know if I’ve seen her at any other games.”
“I would agree. Swifties not gonna like that answer,” McBride responded.
Kolek then praised Ben Stiller and Tracy Morgan for being legitimate fans, but he can’t say the same thing about Swift.

“I guess she’s got a lot going on, so she can’t come all the time,” added Kolek
Those are quite big statements from Kolek, especially considering the massive fanbase of the 14-time Grammy winner. Since getting into a relationship with Kelce, Swift’s following has only grown bigger.
But at the end of the day, Kolek said what he said.

From a commenter: “Can you only be a fan if you go to the arena? I dare say most sports fans never get to a game.”
“She has attended quite a few Knicks games, this bum wasn’t even on the roster yet! Cry harder, piece of shit.,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “These men are losers. Sorry but I saw many men celebrities that never have been to a game. It’s crazy!”
Said another: “Taylor has been a fan of the Knicks for over 15 years”

Performative or not, one thing that is undeniable about Swift is that she’s a full supporter of Travis Kelce.
