NALGONDA: Bhongir MLA Kumbam Anil Kumar Reddy on Tuesday said ensuring better sanitation in urban and rural areas is essential for creating a healthy environment for the people.
Speaking after flagging off electric sanitation vehicles for the Bhoodan Pochampally municipality, the MLA said municipal authorities and residents should work in coordination to keep colonies clean. He stressed the importance of public participation in maintaining cleanliness and appealed to people to keep their surroundings hygienic.
Anil Kumar said door-to-door garbage collection and scientific waste management would significantly improve sanitation services in urban areas. He noted that maintaining a clean and hygienic environment would help prevent diseases, particularly the spread of communicable illnesses.
Pochampally municipal chairman Tadaka Venkateswarlu, municipal commissioner Anjan Reddy, vice-chairperson Koyyada Rajani Srinivas, municipal councillors and officials participated in the programme.
